How to Make A DIY Room Air Heater

Well for making a room air heater, you must have some particular materials and tools (which I’ve mentioned below) and then follow the steps of its construction.

Required Materials

  • A Shoe Box
  • 5 Volt DC motor
  • 100 Watt Bulb
  • A Propeller
  • A Switch
  • A Battery
  • Battery Holder
  • Bulb Holder
  • A Wire
  • A Plug
  • Aluminum Foil

Required Tools

  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Glue Stick
  • Scissors

See the Procedure

  1. Take a shoe box and with the help of a glue gun, stick the aluminum foil inside as well as its lid.
  2. Make a hole at the center of the smaller rectangular side with scissors and make some cuts in ‘+’ shape. 
  3. Make the hole large enough to fix the battery holder in a way that the bulb should not touch the base of the box. 
  4. Now measure the diameter of the propeller and mark a circle at one side of the lid and cut the circular marking. 
  5. Take any thin sticks – popsicle sticks, pencils, etc., and put a motor with a propeller in between them and stick to the circular opening in a way that sticks should be at the upper side of the lid and the propeller should be inside the lid.
  6. Check that if your propeller is pulling out the inner air, if not then swipe the connections.
  7. Join the switch with the motor and battery holder in series, glue the battery holder on the upper side of the box.
  8. Fit the lid in a way that the bulb holder should be opposite to the propeller.
  9. Make 2 – 3 holes below the bulb so it can take air inside.
  10. Now fix the bulb into the holder, turn on the propeller first, and then switch on the bulb.
